Aeron wheels are built around Blackjack’s proprietary ratchet hub platform, internally developed and manufactured by Blackjack. The system features high-precision engagement mechanics, engineered for durability, low maintenance, and consistent performance across cycling disciplines.

Internals are serviceable and available with aluminium or Cr-Mo steel freehub bodies. All hubs are built using EN-AW 6082/7075 alloys and equipped with Enduro Bearings for smooth, sealed rolling performance.
High-performance Spokes
Aeron spokes are double-butted, cold-forged from 18/10 stainless steel to optimise dynamic behaviour under load. This ensures a high strength-to-weight ratio, fatigue resistance, and a responsive feel on varied terrain. Each spoke is carefully matched to its rim and hub application, maximising the structural synergy of the entire wheel.

Every Aeron wheel is assembled in-house, with full control over tolerances, alignment, and component balance. The build process includes:

▪️Roundness and concentricity testing
▪️Ultrasonic wall thickness measurement
▪️Mechanical testing (lateral/vertical impact, fatigue, radial/lateral load)
