Blackjack is a high-performance brand of rims and wheels, launched by RODI Cycling in 2005 to enter the high-end spectrum of the industry. With constant investments in innovation and technology, Blackjack is becoming an uprising brand in the market, becoming an ideal choice for many European distributors and professional cycling teams worldwide. 
In hopes of reaching a more premium segment, Blackjack will be launching in 2023 a new wheel and rim collection – SUPERLIGHT.
For the last two years, the company has been designing and developing these components to be a competitive and high-quality option for all cycling enthusiasts, with attributes that may disrupt the brand’s positioning on the market and push it towards new trends. 
More than high-performance wheels, we wanted to create a product based on sustainability – not only by investing in lowering the impact of our manufacturing processes but also by using unique secondary raw materials.
The Superlight collection will be produced with an exclusive alloy – 6000 series – developed explicitly for Blackjack’s requirements, which is partly made up of recycled aluminium. By no means it affects other essential attributes of the wheels, such as weight and stiffness. More than creating a collection using materials with high mechanical properties, Blackjack’s main goal was to design an optimized rim profile for better stability, increased stiffness, and better handling while aiming for the lightest weight possible.
How do we do it?
- An innovative method of sleeve rim joining process, with servo control actuators to monitor and control the convergence of the end with a calibration mechanism to adjust the flanges geometrically and dimensionally on the gap region.
- A diligent asymmetric design to guarantee a unique balancing of spoke tensions between DS (Drive side) and NDS (Non-drive side). It allows for greater stiffness and therefore, more performance and resistance to external brake torsional stresses, as from driving power transmitted through the cassette.
Three different models will be available for the first Superlight collection:
READY 23 SL – developed for Gravel;
READY 27 SL – the ultimate Muscular wheel;
READY 30 SL – created for E-MTB and SUV. 
All these models will have a smooth matte finish, now possible because of the company’s new in-house capabilities – the construction of a new factory unit, adding more than 7.000 sqm to the factory site, with state-of-the-art equipment and the installation of an anodizing line and a new powder painting line.
For now, sit tight and enjoy the ride because Superlight will come in 2023 to take the industry by storm and settle Blackjack’s place in the market.
