The recommended tension is 120 kg, for the higher tension side. On the opposite side, tension should be enough to balance the wheel, hence minimum value should be 60 kg.
The higher tension side is:
– The disc side, on front disc wheels;
– The drive side, on rear wheels.
On front wheels with rim brakes, both sides have the same tension value, except on non-symmetrical rims, on which there will be a slight difference.
On motor hub wheels, the maximum tension value is 150 kg. However, the rims on this type of wheel should be able to endure this load.
